Bourne Again, Hallelujah!!!

It's been quite a week for me...  I was down about half this week being sick, as well as heartsick over the Minneapolis bridge collapse...  And with my “to do” list growing longer and longer, I’ve decided the best way to tackle it would be to take a day off and go see a movie! Fortunately, The Bourne Ultimatum opens today… not a tough decision for me since I’ve re-watched Identity and Supremacy in preparation!

And even though I’ve been barely here recently, my blog agenda has been growing as well… I have several ideas stewing for some possible posts that might allow me to play amateur journalist; also The Chronicles of Martha are yet to be revealed; and finally, I’ll have an update on my “weighty matter” coming on August 15th (just for you, Susan!).

I’m sure this post does nothing but make me a tease, but I couldn’t bear to start the weekend (albeit a little early) without sending some love your way.  May you pursue your best today... whether it's the 'same-old, same-old' or a long-awaited TGIF or a sweet escape to a favorite flick...  And may you be filled with mindfulness of the One who sustains you every day in every way...

Hi Angie,
I hope you enjoy the show (wish I could go with you). Sorry we lost touch for a while. Paul told me about you're procedure. I hope it works for the best. Love, Kristi

ah...the blog tease, I guess it is better than being a strip tease...

I am going to see Bourne tomorrow. Babies tonight or I would be there tonight! Have a great time and a great weekend!

So fun catching up... even if it's just a tease.

The Little Amy G. family planned on visiting us this weekend but didn't make it due to sick kids (Theirs and ours). I think we're all a bit bummed.

Hope you enjoy the movie. Also anxious to hear how the surgery recovery is going!

I'm glad to say I lost a few pounds after mine. Nothing like a good two week diet of ice.

Hi Angie,

Sorry, I have been out of touch! I have been sick for awhile now. Anyway, enjoy the movie. I saw No Reservations and Ratatouille. Loved them both! I love kids movies and the other was very very clean..wow! Let us know how your movie goes! I can't wait to see that either!

We are going to see that tomorrow! People think Mike looks like Matt Damon. I'm good with that!

Hope all's well with you Angie. Love you lots!

Skip and I enjoyed the movie. Hope you did, too. Looking forward to reading more on your blog. You've aroused my curiosity with your "tease."

How about The Ultimatum? Are there some discipleship overtones there? The mission is obviously different...but the surrender? Of course there should be no turning back. :)

Just getting back into town after a family vacation in Gatlinburg. I too was heartsick over the bridge tragedy. Jr. and I had a conversation on our way up to Gatlinburg about my fear of bridges. Weird that it happened that same day. You probably didn't know about my bridge fear. It's spooky.

Anyway, glad to see you updating and can't wait for a "weight" update! I still haven't made it by to see you but CYE for a picture or two from our trip.

Hugs!

Angie,

I am so grateful to have found your site. I'm seriously considering having the Lap band and am trying to work my way through a lot of spiritual questions. Reading what you have written has helped me clarify some things in my mind. I'm still investigating, but I have an appointment for a surgical consultation in a few weeks. I'm praying like crazy and asking all those who love me to do the same. Most people have been incredibly supportive of whatever decision I make, but my sisters have been asking me some hard questions. I'm grateful to them, because I want to have thought through all the angles and been able to submit all my questions to God before I decide which path to follow. Thanks for being willing to share.
